who is listening?

A confident Queen, High Priestess and Warrior heard a call from the Underworld. This time she could not deny it. She made as many preparations as possible and put parts of her life aside as she approached motherhood.

Confident, she marched towards the first of seven descending gates. Realising she has no keys she knocks... a voice calls out "Who are you?"
The maiden replies, "I am… a Queen, a daughter, a wife, a sister an auntie, a friend, a therapist, I'm strong, and powerful."
The Gatekeeper calls "Then I will take your crown, there is no need for that here"

All of her plans, ideas, thoughts and perceived power are stripped away as she passed through each gate. Until finally she is cold, naked and vulnerable. Unsure of anything as she passes through the final gate, the Gate of Holy Terror, part of her is scared to her death.

Slowly she was revived and born again. Like a baby she has to learn to be in and use her body.

The ascent to the upper world is a tough journey, a map in her gut she is still following. She couldn't even look a birthing images and not feel anger and envy. She hears the drums and chooses to push on.

Again, the Gatekeeper asks, "Who are you?"
"I do not know" she replies.

At each ascending gate she has a chance to put herself together in a new way.

Armour is discarded in return for deep insight. She can ask for help and does.

On her return she is also collecting healing medicine for her self and others. Her apothecary holds soul remedies, encouraging tinctures, creative medicine and embodied stories.

She is now a mother to two boys and still a wife, a daughter, a sister, an auntie, a therapist and a friend. She is human and valuable.

She is now walking, stepping into compassion for self and others who have felt loss.

One day, she will have no story.

'This happened to me' transforms into pure wisdom.

"who's with me?!"

I'm Rosie, I've worked as an Art & Embodied Psychotherapist for 15 years.

I'm so thankful I used this process as part of my holistic birth preparation in my 2nd pregnancy so I was ready for however my birth would unfold.

That birth experience was very unexpected... it was a life-altering initiation actually. So while becoming a mother of 2 and recovering, I decided to train with the Birth Story Medicine School so I could heal then offer this gift to others.

I now specialise in birth shock and trauma with a passion to help women find the healing in their wounds. I am thankful to be mentored by Pam England, the founder of Birth Story Medicine.

I love what I do and how each session is guided by us both to face and heal ourselves in motherhood.
